Chase Bliss - Lost + Found

I have yet to dive into Chase Bliss pedals. The first one I'd love to get my hands on is their Mood Mk II.

Congratulations on your new purchase, WhizzinbyI hope it ends up working out for you :-).

Spent some more time with it today.

The Tape delay is really cool. It’s not a standard tape delay, but if you drop the Stability to where it’s almost new it’s really good and CB are great at those pristine ping pong delays. When you start to crank in into the unstable position they have a really vibey warble and splice effect. Getting that to sit in-time takes some fiddling, but I suppose it shouldnt be too predictable.

Grain Tumbler is very good too. Smooth them out, lots of feedback and large grain, it’s extremely immersive. I need to try to tame this into an idea and not just a noodling effect.

The Useful Ambience reverb is kind of cool. It’s more of a texture verb than anything. Slightly dark and dialed back to roomish space, its add a nice layer to everything.

I don’t think the phaser or chorus are particularly notable. Maybe I haven’t unlocked the perfect settings, but I wouldn’t turn to these for anything dependent on those effects in isolation. They may be there just for stacking potential more than anything. (I’ve been pretty focused on just figuring out the base algos and haven’t gone too heavy stacking)

Gen Lite is good. CB really have the degradation thing down. I quite like just noodling clean with just this on.

Orchestral Swell sounds like something that might be tamed into something cool, but it’s finicky without going too over the top.

Slowly coming around to this thing. It’s a weird pedal. It hasn’t knocked my socks off like the Mood or Thermae did right from the start, but a lot of these blues barista pedals take some time.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts! I’ve found some of their pedals take some time to get your head around. It’ll work just fine on my studio FX board I think so I love messing with that stuff in that environment. I could be wrong but I don’t see this working for me on a live board. This for me seems to what I’d like to have messing around in my space.

I was going to get a MKII Mood to replace my MKI but I have the Blooper and it can do similar plus this one came up so I opted to try this one.

Yeah I think it will slot in nice in a studio setup. It definitely feels like one of those pedals you turn to for mining for inspiration. I’m barely scratching the surface with it. I definitely faired better with it today than my first run through. I’m going to try to get stacking stuff now that I have a better feel for them isolation.
