Well, I just threw it all into my cart on the L&M site and compared…

But it is remarkably only a $5 price difference.

I love my current board.

But I'm kind of in a “love my guitars, love my amps, love my cabs and speakers” state, so all that's left to mess with/play around with/obsess over/ruin is my little pedalboard.

The OC-5 is awesome. I love it \m/ Still wants some Blues Driver in my life. Dual Detune in the GT is best. I would still recommend staying on the current path

Sometimes... but other times it puts us on an unexpected and fulfilling path. This is what I've heard anyways.

If Boss did a GT unit that actually had all of the algorithms from the 500 series, and the newer pedals like the Space Echo and what not.... then it would actually be interesting to me. But when I had a GT-1000, I was so unimpressed with it, I think it lasted about 2-3 weeks before I sold it on.

Does the GT-1000 have a coloured, always-on boost type effect, like an EP Booster or JHS Prestige?

I’m really hooked on the Prestige as a coloured boost for the low wind pickups in my 594.
