I have the regular Mini in my home office. Honestly, it's probably the amp I play the most on a daily basis since it sits next to my office desk and I just noodle around while I'm working.
It's a pretty decent practice amp. Nothing I'd ever record with but it's great for learning songs, playing with backing tracks etc
The new one looks good with the extra effects etc. I may pick one up.

GAME OVER, POSITIVE GRID!! THIS IS A GAME CHANGER! IT'S BEEN CHANGED TO A DIFFERENT GAME!

That looks like the new king of couch amps! I'll probably pick up a used one in about a year for $50 to check it out.

The only thing it lacks that I would like to have is a line in that you can hook up your laptop line out to vs BT it. I have my Blackstar Fly set up that way vs the speakers in the computer so I can practice louder.

Analog preamp in this one.
Don't think so, they say "Multi-stage analog gain circuit developed with the acclaimed BOSS Tube Logic approach"

Which probably just means they added a simple variable boost to the input before it hits the converters :bonk

EDIT, I see it says "Three-band analog tone stack for smooth sound adjustment" as well. Hm

Looks like a decent upgrade to the venerable Katana Mini? At $150 MSRP it has 6 amps, 10 effects, a tuner, bluetooth, and a USB-C rechargeable battery.

I'm mildly interested...

Hey DT, all, pretty damn cool! If you’re looking to hook up to a computer, this isn’t for you (except to record, was getting some cool tracks on GarageBand earlier, may post some samples later). SO easy to jam along with YouTube or your favorite media. The bigger speaker helps there. I was asked to turn down by a roomie, so it can be loud depending on your definition. No adjustment for the delay is a bummer, but it sounds good as does the reverb, love the phaser, very EVH. Lush chorus, nice tremolo (don’t think you can adjust anything but intensity). There is an effect labeled “DF” stands for de-fret, bet that will be cool on bass, yet to try that. Auto way, not my bag baby, but is there. The ‘synth’ patch is cool, likely limited uses but cool.

Overall I’m pretty happy with the X, will definitely pay off before the $3.19 a month for 48, but easy on my wallet via Sweetwater. FedEx shipping though. I don’t like those guys, sat in the mailroom for a day and a half before they told me it was here. It’s really cute too!
