Boss GT-1000 (and possibly other things Boss...)

Unless there’s a modeler I’m not familiar with (I’ve used Fractal, Helix, Kemper, Atomic) and a recorder I’m not familiar with (I own an H4n Pro) that’ll do it via USB. Which would be odd, because the GT-1000 isn’t class compliant either, is it?

No, it's not class compliant from all I know (which is quite weird as the IR-200 is, has a special mode you can switch to).
Anyhow, for this to work at all, it needed a host device. All portable recorders are USB slaves, so are all modelers (apart from the KPA and Headrush being able to host USB drives, but that's for data transfer only). So that's enough for a "case closed" already, even if the GTs were class compliant.

Yeah that’s true. If it were class compliant, it would work with the IR-2/200 into even an iPhone.

How would you record the Boss’s USB to the USB of a portable recorder? What other modeler works this way?
Well, i imagine kind of portable recorder, a standalone device (like Zoom or Tascam can do) where i plug GT1000Core via USB, device act as a USB host, recognize 6 channels (3 groups of L/R), let me setup samling and choose the channels. This way.

As @paisleywookiee said, you simply can't do that via USB. Just connect the analog outs and record away.
Analog outputs produce analog signals. I wanna deal directly w/ digital signals which will be directly stored in WAV file (from the USB). I don't want ADC converter of portable recorder affect the sound.

You can want that all day long, it still won't work with any of the common portable recorders because they're no USB hosts. Add to this that the GT-1000 isn't class compliant, so even *if* there was a recorder allowing you to host external USB devices, it still wouldn't recognize the GT.

In fact idk whats in driver/usb specs of GT. So i can't argue without factchecking.
But, BUT, i have a good idea: usb host/router, stm firmware, connect GT as a source and tascam/zoom as a mic. I'm sure that it should exists in some ways.

No, they don’t work like that. If you read the specs on their pages, it’s pretty easy for a technical guy like yourself to understand that. I know that’s been difficult for you in the past though.

We read the specs that are published in English (and presumably all other languages) on their websites. Unfortunately, they can’t account for reading comprehension problems that you apparently suffer from.
Guess you never seen nor read real specs in your life haha :)
Take a look on Boss website - they have specs or Line6.

Btw, @Sascha Franck just plugged GT under my linux, and basic ALSA (wiki) perfectly detected GT1000 channels (in Audacity app)!
So it mean potentially it could be a DIY battery powered device on Raspi Pi Zero 2 w/ Alsa routing! Sadly there are single USB port so it will require external passive USB hub :)
So.. i (=anynone) can plug GT and recorder into that device and device will run the script where preferred channels from GT will be routed to recorder.

Normal is relative. You aren't normal relatively to normal people.
Says the guy everyone’s in disagreement with. If everyone in the room thinks you’re the nut job, maybe it’s time to reflect a little bit. You know, regroup. Look in the mirror. Read the specs off the website. I know, the last one’s really crazy!
