Best guitar practice amp these days?

I use my EVH Iconic 40 for practice.

Still plenty on the 10 watt setting. J. Brown sed they kept the PV up even on low power.

Haha, I'm embarrassed to admit I played through one of those back in the day. Back in the late '80s early '90s my tube amp was getting serviced and I showed up at our rehearsal space with one of these and even before I plugged in the rest of the band started laughing at me.

I bought a THR10 with the intention of using it as a practice amp. At the same time, I also bought an Engl Fireball 25, then an Engl Artist Edition 50.

I recall turning the THR10 on and checking it worked and sounded…fine, about a year ago now. Just not Engl fine. And I have too many pedals that I need to justify buying – but are much better than what’s onboard the THR10.

Maybe if I spent some time with it…

Love mine, it's a killer amp. I don't even feel the need to use the low power setting, it has a great master volume.

Man; I LOVED the THR100 I tried in GC here a few years ago. I was really surprised with how great it sounded from the minute I fired it up.

I love mine. It sounds great into my speaker and cabinets, and also into headphones or direct into my audio interface. And it works great with pedals.

i use all my amps for practice they all work well, but i still swear by my dearly departed fender frontman 25r with an upgraded speaker as a perfect pickup box. small, light, cheap 2 channel with reverb and a 10" speaker. if you cant get it outa that, somethings wrong!
