Suggestions? Please note which color the box excels at: black, brown, silver, etc.
Thanks.

I'm a complete virgin with FIAB stuff so be gentle. :pee

I'm just saying, you could buy every FIAB 9v silicon 'solution', spent more money than an FM3, and still not have a FAS Lonestar sound on the floor. but catalinbread formula is a good place to start. I think of them more like dirty compressors tho, that's what everybody's after anyways, old circuit sag. the bassman one is way more versatile but I like the feel of the tweed one best, probably a lot simpler circuit path, tone control doesn't hardly do anything if gain is above noon. but it's tweedy!

I'd probably look at tube units like the Tubesteader Beekeeper. Though out of their range the Magnezium (Magnatone) sounds way more interesting.

I think a digital modeler will be the most cost effective and flexible solution for that stuff though.

I am a huge fan of the Lovepedal line of Fenders In A Box. Sean makes
a Super, a few Tweed variations, a Deluxe, and a Brownface. Cool tones,
great feel under the fingers, and very affordable.

Owning some nice vintage Fender amps I have a decent understanding
of how those amps sound and feel.
