And that's fair; it's just that you're not exactly unbiased here, when you're getting the product at no cost, wouldn't you say?As i said ive been using it since day one as beta tester. Full version

I don't know if I would go that far, but I would say their searching and filtering mechanics are pretty poor. The actual capture process is very straight forward and intuitive. So once I make a capture, I just go back to Amplitube 5 for the most part. I get some really good in the box tones from it.
Maybe this will light a fire under IK's collective butt, and they'll look to make the same changes to ToneX, in terms of the capture process. Competition is almost always a good thing. I actually think once you do get a good cap, it's fantastic. I had a lot of the same issues as Turkey did though. Stuff that should be a pummeling and tight Badlander were often "meh".I had like 2 successful captures out of probably 20+ tries? No rhyme or reason why they either were WAYYYYY undergained or plain just failed.
I worked with support (aka sent them caps and other temp data files created in the process while they pretended to want to solve my problem while never solving the problem). I know you don't dig the Kemper but it was never that irritating for me. Combine that with the software and overall vibe and it was an easy decision for me to pull the plug.
To add to the conversation; adding features has never been a strong suit so it might make more sense to keep those expectations tempered.Maybe this will light a fire under IK's collective butt, and they'll look to make the same changes to ToneX, in terms of the capture process. You're being a glass half-empty turkey this morning. To add to the conversation; adding features has never been a strong suit so it might make more sense to keep those expectations tempered.
You really think 150 bucks buys my loyalty? And that's fair; it's just that you're not exactly unbiased here, when you're getting the product at no cost, wouldn't you say?
No, I think people naturally say nice things about stuff they get for free, regardless of what it retails for.You really think 150 bucks buys my loyalty?
Im a bit more expensive.
But yes i am biased because me and Tom go back to the days he was at Fractal.
But at the same time since i actually consider him a friend i likely give him more grief than any one here. I just do it in private.
Just as i stopped using Amplifire i will always move on to any product that makes my work flow easier, no matter if i pay or not.
and also… your expectations on how it should work and what kind of service you get is impossible to gauge unless you’re a paying customer. No, I think people naturally say nice things about stuff they get for free, regardless of what it retails for.
Im clearly not Mensa…
Interesting! That genuinely hasn't been my experience. I think ToneX is better (and more accurate) than Kemper and Quad Cortex!I had like 2 successful captures out of probably 20+ tries? No rhyme or reason why they either were WAYYYYY undergained or plain just failed.
Yeah sure when i get 2 or 6k stuff but not 150 bucks. But if you choose to see me this way not a thing i can say to change that. No, I think people naturally say nice things about stuff they get for free, regardless of what it retails for.
that’s a good idea, though I Have no idea how feasible it’d be. You could run Helix Native in the block of Tonocracy and use it for effects.I bought a looping/DAW app for iPad called Loopy Pro. (it will be released for MacBook soon (and PC too I believe)) It is really awesome and it has a sophisticated mixer UI (a couple different types actually) and it acts as a host for plug ins. I have had great fun loading Tonex as a plugin in the channel strips.
Anyway....long way to my point...it would be awesome if Tonocracy could do that, have a block that hosts simple plugs like the tape echo I have K7D https://www.imaginando.pt/products/k7d-tape-delay
There are lots of simple plugs that would be sweet to be able to load the same way you load captures.
Hell you could load Loopy Pro or load Tonocracy inside of Loopy Pro
I keep waiting for Fractal to drop a bomb like that. FX plug in suites...delays....drives....modulations, etc.. drop them in the tracks you want. Bundle them all for discount pricing...And send me a coupon for the idea! Just kidding!!! I don't need no flashmob showing up in my face saying I can't be trusted because I have an opinion and got a discount!that’s a good idea, though I Have no idea how feasible it’d be. Fractal Native
Yeah totally. I’d stop complaining about Fractal not having a Stomp-like modeler, if I could run a plugin/app on my laptop.I would immediately uninstall every single amp modeller from my system apart from Helix Native, if I had a Fractal Native to go with it.
Am I starting to sound like a fucking fanboi yet?? Hope so!
Thats close to fighting words…The best advice for Atomic Amps, and Tom, is beware of the 'yes men'.
Obviously, you are aiming to improve the product, and that deserves praise, but you are only doing that based on people who have delivered constructive criticism. Clearly, you are not doing this based on people you've given free NFRs to, who are here in this forum 'fluffing' and 'licking' and literally sounding like they've been paid to be shilling your products.
