Spoke with an old friend yesterday and he confirmed that Maine has a very similar exit ramp EOL deal as California.

FWIW I watched my father-in-law do this after a terminal, not a lot of time, diagnosis. He was a tough old guy with a big heart who lived life on his own terms and there was no way he was going out any other way. At first I was like, holy crap, that’s pretty harsh, but I quickly got it as he started to deteriorate. We were all there and said our goodbyes and that was it. Now I recognize the gigantic balls it took to make that decision and see it through and I respect him hugely for doing it his way. I don’t know if I would have the same fortitude, but I understand now, and it is in my mind.

Whatever the case, enjoy every day as much as possible. Make your peace with the man upstairs, and when it’s time to go, go your way. In the meantime, play some guitar and chill. Peace and love.

Believe it or not, along with the 12 hour slow release morphine, the once every 4 hour Lorazepam, the non stop flower topped with sugar, and currently, an ice cold Truly Hard Seltzer, the kinds words really do help.

The place has changed drastically. One of the last times I was there I championed for you to be unbanned. Since then I just check in every couple weeks just lurking.

At that other place many of the members accused everyone that disagreed with them as being Donnie using an alt by saying "ok Donnie" or "sure thing Donnie". So I figured it would be funny here. Donnie thought so.
