Anybody tried one of the cheap revstars?

Have you looked at the PRS CE-24 SE’s? I have an older CE-24 that I absolutely love.

My main HB guitar is a 2000 ce22. I've had a few 24 fret prs but I prefer the 22 fret double cuts.

Same. I’m always keeping my eye out for a CU22.

When I bought my first Revstar the First Gen i had also tried a PRS Santana and i have to say both were great but the neck on the Yamaha was so much better for me this new Gen is even better

I've had a McCarty, cu22 and a few single cuts but my ce has been the one which has stayed. I think a dgt might be the only prs that might replace it.

I have not, but I have a lot of experience with the Pacifica 112's which for a long time were one of the cheapest guitars out there


And they were great. I'd have no problem pulling the trigger on a Rev without having played one tbh

I've still got gas after losing out on that one a few weeks ago. I'm definitely going to pick one up when I find one at the right price.

They are good for the money and even the hardware and pickups are serviceable. Although I would probably buy the Japan one and still change everything

I'm probably going to go for a standard now. I'd love the mij model but won't be able to stretch that far for a while. I'll be rewiring anyone I buy and putting in different pickups. Probably have an earvana nut fitted as well like the rest of my guitars.

Looking at this wiring diagram from Psionic Audio it's just using standard two conductor p90 wiring. As long as you soldered your new pickups in like the old ones everything will be the same.

I had to get a new lead for my guitar today so I was back in the shop and I had another go of the Revstar.

I need it.

Played a mate's one, very good bang for the buck. Interesting switching options, too. Should I ever need to buy a 2 humbucker guitar without vibrato (which might in fact happen one day), one of those would be my first call.

If it had 2 p90 maybe…

I bought mine new in March 2023 and it’s not been back in its case since it arrived.
It’s a outstanding guitar for the money
