Any of you dudes get banned from TGP?..Why?

Which forums are in the friendly TGP family? You described exactly what happened to me.

One of the high post counters and "supporting members" took a swipe at me, I stood up for myself and then his buddies joined in to fan the flames. I was banned the next day.

Not going to support that cesspool any more.
That tracks

That'll teach them to funk with you.

:cop

I got banned again. I have no idea why. I violated the rules, no explanation and bye. I won’t rejoin. I hate those websites where the moderators are so overactive and pulling the trigger so quickly without feedback. How to know what to do better next time?

Just go right to the DGTCrazy dude and tell him that the best amp sounds come from a fender hello kitty, through a high gain amp, with no volume knob .....perma bannt.

Maybe for the better. I should probably get banned at Reddit too. If I can keep this forum to ask my questions I am good.
I left that place after throwing a grenade. Still have the top post on the Headrush sub..... but I deleted my account.

Been banned from 2 others for dissent and agitation....by just telling the truth....in a considerate way.

This place isn't like those at all....

But before we get toooo comfortable.
Dill or sweet?

I don’t get your question. Is that something American?

Here’s the deal…. A very popular trend in modern society is to be offended by more things than all of your Facebook friends. That shows that you are the most virtuous of the group. That mentality has taken over TGP, and people mash on the report button for every little thing that they can claim offends them. And the moderators are either too “busy” to decide for themselves, or else they are cut from the same cloth. Either way, they tend to just swing the ban hammer rather than communicate with the creator of the offensive post. It didn’t used to be that way, but it sure the fuck is now.

I’ve been on the internet since the beginning and forums always has been a part of that. But it’s damn hard to keep it all positive.

I’ve been on this planet since the late sixties, and people these days are the most inconsiderate, selfish, entitled little snowflakes that I have ever had to deal with. I think that people in general are forgetting how to simply interact with other humans. Too many of them see the world through their smartphone or the screen of their computers, and their social skills are severely underdeveloped. When I was in my teens and twenties, obnoxious behavior and smartass comments would get you punched in the face. The internet has removed that particular (yet highly effective) consequence.

Yep. Thankfully I have always been more of a loner. Not so much “in” society or in small sub cultures.

Now I have young children I need to deal with society more and that can be challenging. But also good way to learn how to be a more calm, present person. Everybody is going through something.
