Andy Summers chorus settings anyone?

The one gratified vibe that rubbed off on me from him👀, LOL,
-is the fervent use of the right hand picking rhythm.
Strummin’s for bums, put the hand to work adding dimension at the pick versus the
lick & the wank.
Diggin’ up them Willie Adler assaults on the strings
Play the shit out of that guitar.

Message in a Bottle usually lands for me. Don’t Stand So Close to Me works too - both songs actually work better if you have 2 guitars, they both have interesting harmonies happening in the verses that feel naked with 1 guitar live.

MIAB, Roxanne, EBYT, & WTWIRD were ones we did (one guitar) and airc, they all went over. But Every Breath was 1st set.

We always steered clear of ballads and belly rubbers. Singers like that shit for some reason. :facepalm

1 a set so couples can get their Mojo on is cool. 2 if they beg you. Anymore than that and you
turn the entire gig into a snooze-fest, in my experience.

So many winners in the catalog. If you need simple, high energy rockers to keep the crowd engaged, there’s Born in the ‘50s, Truth Hits Everybody, etc.

I've never seen a Police song work in a cover situation. I'm not sure why.

One of the first songs I ever sang live was Driven to Tears, back in '85. A friend of mine told me I drove the crowd to tears as they were listening.
