It won’t help being shorter but it’s a good string tree. That said try just not running the string under it and see how that works.Hello Andy @Eagle, question on String trees
I want to put a Graphtech String tree on my Schecter but i noticed that the Graphtech is shorter than whats on the axe now, would this be a problem ? since it would change the angle
Thank you kind sir
Mike
I was watching Gary Moore at Montreaux from 1990, Andy, and was kind of bowled over by
how deeply set the pole pieces are in the Pickups of "Greeny."
Not sure I have ever seen something like---and especially with a guy like Gary who tended
to be more of a goosed up and gained up player.
Thoughts? Experiences?
Thanks.![]()
How old because it depends on the finish?Any tips on removing dust from the body an old strat friend found in an attic?
It has a metallc red finish. She wiped it with a cloth but to quote her "it has dusty stains."
How old because it depends on the finish?
Yes a damp microfibre cloth will be all you need for 99% and you can use car polish occasionally on that style of poly finish on the body. Use sparingly and take you time being careful not to leave anything behind. It was seemingly bought in 2010s and was in use until we were hit by COVID.
Can someone with no knowledge of electronics or luthier science clean the knobs at home using household materials?
This works too.If you mean clean the outside of the knobs, a toothbrush and diluted dish soap usually does the job. Preferably someone else's toothbrush, or an old one. I also remove knobs before cleaning with liquids. Much like removing your shirt before ironing it, there is less risk of collateral damage.
