Test 1: B is the oversampled mix. The open hihats sounded different.
Test 2: D is the oversampled mix. The tom accent at the end seemed very different to me between the mixes. The transient was stronger.
Test 3: X is the oversampled mix. Again, the toms seemed to be quite different to my ears. The transients were stronger.
Interesting! I only got 1 right!
I can actually hear why I made my choices now - the low-end was much more subdued in the toms in the non-OS ones, which made me focus more on the transient, which threw off my choice.
