A tip for people taking a guitar to their tech!

After things this week I would actually give two tips to prevent you being surcharged by your tech.

1. Don't tie your strings to the machine heads.

2. Don't lend your guitar to a Yak the week before the tech gets it.

Anything that requires rubber gloves and a patio washer is a sure fire surcharge .
Hopefully next week will go by without a tetanus shot.:rofl

I do basic setups as a side-hustle and I’ve actually turned away guitars due to the filth. If someone can’t at least wipe it down and vacuum up their dead skin and pubes, find someone else.
 
I'd add: Take detailed pics of your guitar. If you are going to a new tech and they fuck it up, you can show who is to blame.

For filthy guitars, I'd just say "clean this up and come back". It's not like my guitars are pristine or anything, but they sure aren't filthy!
