3D Printed Guitar/Music Accessories?

I've been doing a bunch of 3D modelling lately, and I just tried to rotate the screen of those pics! :rofl
Muscle memory is strong - it got me while modeling these. In my slicer, you can measure the model by highlighting two points. Then you can clear those selections to measure between another two points by hitting backspace. I did that while drawing this and accidentally deleted a part of the model. It took me a second to even realize what happened.

Speaking of muscle memory, it's funny when doing something physically with your hands and thinking about command z (control z) when you make a mistake. Then you realize, oh... can't do that. :cop:rofl

I've done that many many times! :cuss Ctrl ZZZZZZZZZZZZ!!!! :rofl All the while watching the model to see where I need to stop.

It's been a long time since it's happened to me, but it did frequently when I used to work in an office and on the computer all day long.
I'd get home and tinker with a wood project or an amp and guaranteed at some point I'd want to undo something. My mind would directly go to command z and I'd be like wtf. :facepalm :grin Computers have spoiled us!
 
I was given this pedal a few months ago and believe the case etching & Luminous knobs were all made on a 3 D printer.


Definitely looks 3D printed based on the visible lines. I've thought about printing enclosures in ABS or ASA, but haven't done it yet. It would make the enclosure-preparation process quite trivial...
 
This week, I designed and printed a tilted stand for my Quad Cortex. I'm pretty proud of it. It fits perfect, and it has some nice touches (IMHO):
  • An outlet for that stupid underside vent. That said, I know zilch about thermodynamics, so exactly how effective this is, I don't know. I just wanted to leave some escape for the warm air that comes out the bottom.
  • Grips to make moving the whole assembly a bit easier.
  • It's monolithic - there's another QC stand on Printables that's two pieces. I have a giant printer, so I figured, why not do a one-piece stand. The size does make it prohibitive for the majority of printers, but it can be split into 2+ parts and glued together.

I learned a lot going this, and it was quite fun. The whole print took 25 hours and consumed 550g of filament. I had this yellow filament lying around from another project, so I used that since I had enough to get through the whole print.

25 hours, but I made some decisions that definitely extended the print time.
  1. I printed at a 0.16mm layer height. I did this because there are a lot of overhangs in this model.
  2. I used Gyroid infill, which is a strong, but relatively slow, infill pattern.
The stock 0.2mm profile in OrcaSlicer estimates a 17hr print time. My changes added ~ 8hrs to the print.
 
Can we see an angled picture to see how the QC looks like? Seems like a cool tool to make it more comfortable on desk.

Angled in what way? Like dead on from the bottom of the unit (closest to the user) or just from a more natural sitting or standing position?

More like in an isometric perspective so we can see how it raises the unit.
