WTF Gibson!

my LP bridge looks like the first picture. I’ve had it setup professionally at least twice, and I’m at least fully confident in the professionality of one of those two techs…..

Does that make me a dumb dumb with broken ears and shitty techs?

Never had any intonation issues that I could perceive…. Been a happy camper with this guy coming up on 5 years now

Also I’ve never owned a Gibson with tuning stability issues. My current LP shipped with locking tuners but I don’t think that has much to do with it. I have PRS guitars with locking tuners that are less stable than my LP.

That said, the draw or locking tuners has never been any increased “tuning stability” for me… what I like about locking is the 25 second string change procedure

Following up to my previous post… this got me curious. My S2 594 and CE24 (both USA models) basically have the same staggering pattern like pic 1 and my LP. My core doesn’t even have a bridge that lets you adjust that period

So I guess also, WTF PRS? :idk

I’d try and compare my vela bridge in this mix as well but it’s kind of a novel loosely tele based thing so kind of an orange to an Apple

This one?

lol yes. But I can’t say I have any issues/complaints :idk
That bridge has the intonation “preset.” I guess it could potentially be an issue with different string gauges, but if yours is working for you, you’re good. You could always replace it with one that has the adjustable saddles if it isn’t. I think they look clean.

I’ve gigged tf out of that guitar with nothing but a smile

He's talking about the offset between the saddles. The prs one looks a lot closer to Eagles second picture than the first one he posted that it shipped with. The saddles are the same shape but a lot closer together than the first image.

I'll stick to my staggered lockers on my 4 Gibson's thank you. :sofa

3 came with with originality.. My Axcess did not so I swapped them out..
They increase the likelihood of nut problems because they add to the already stupid angle. But if’s working for you don’t change anything.

You should check it if it looks like the first pic. Use a real strobe ( not a fake digital display one).
If your tech can’t get a PRS with straight string pull, a shallow angle, locking tuners and a knife edge trem to stay in tune better that a Gibson get a new tech.

I had to use a fake digital display for mine. All I have is a Polytune mini.
