Ross from Two notes here - it's essentially a rig simulator available as a plugin and standalone application. If you wanted to give this a whirl, please grab the latest installers here: https://www.two-notes.com/en/downloads/I still don't know what genome actually is. I got a free license for it from Two notes and haven't been interested enough to actually read up on it. The initial press releases and emails from Two Notes were as clear as mud.
I got to speak to Loki (interview posted soon). Searched here to see if anyone has been talking about Hugo.
That is ... trying to a lot of stuff..... I'm skeptique.... but it could be cool. Don't give a toss about OBS. Any details on the built-in loadbox??I got to speak to Loki (interview posted soon). Searched here to see if anyone has been talking about Hugo.
The more I think about this the more I think it's actually an incredible solution. I'm going to see if I can get my hands on one for a demo when available.
- Audio Interface
- Bitwig License included / You can use other DAWs
- More ins and outs than you can ever need with expandable ADAT and more
- Inbuilt loadbox
- NAM capture workflow similar to ToneX, QC, Kemper etc
- Tone3000 preview/download
- VST3 compatibility so any ampsim or effect/processing if you want to go that route
- Runs OBS for streaming people, can plug webcams or USB devices for HDMI input cameras etc
- Ryzen 8000 something powered, high tier DSP processing as well
- Footswitches have a Z axis to them so you can do modulation/wah/expression stuff on the unit, also colour coded
- Pads also have a few tricks but can do anything from basic macros to being used as 2 full sliders
- All of the internal routing between applications has 0 latency
Availability mid to end of year and currently $2000USD price tag (global availability and price hikes are real). It's not cheap but it's also (potentially) a complete one stop shop for anything plugin / amp capture based. It literally is the kitchen sink for studio audio, live audio, practice rig, video streaming etc. I'll be very interested to see this in practice because the possibilities of what you can do are pretty endless.
Forgot to ask if it can run doom but we all know it can
He told me but I was dazzled at the other 100 things that I can't remember. I have to email them about some other stuff so I'll ask. That is ... trying to a lot of stuff..... I'm skeptique.... but it could be cool. Don't give a toss about OBS. Any details on the built-in loadbox??

It is a standalone hardware product?Making that a standalone hardware product would be very cool.

All this stuff needs horsepower. I guess you can try and build slimline pedals but you'll just run up against walls and compromise when you really dont want any of that stuff if youre completely honest with yourself. I guess a smaller HUGO with less i/o could be a good second SKU but maybe they did the math and the base price is so high because of the horsepower needed to run it, that just adding a megaton of I/O and all this stuff doesnt add too much extra. So would you rather pay $1700 for a smaller screen and I/O or $2000 for a 10.5 inch touch and the kitchen sink. I don't 100% know but thats the vibe I got. The base price for something like this is always going to be insanely high (unless its underpowered, and if it is then whats the point of even getting one... to run like 3 plugins, boo).
