I really hope its not fractal next gen as I just picked up my am4 and vp4 combo. A power supply I could dig, unit just for cabs which could host the entire dynacab library or even a bunch of other modular pedals….
Another really cool option — fractal audio plugin — that requires one of their hardware units to operate ie, essentially a dongle to prevent piracy…..
But hey its not usually about me….

I predict that I will be deeply disappointed Yamaha's new DTX offerings or lack thereof. While I appreciate the fidelity and realism of the current generation sounds, I'm not a big fan of the actual sounds. Luckily, the Axe-FX is a rock solid live audio interface for Superior Drummer while also handling guitars and bass simultaneously. I wanna do away with bringing a laptop to gigs for drum samples but it's not the end of the world.

Would love to see some companies other than IK Multimedia take a crack at modal synthesis with drums. MODO Drum is like halfway there to sounding usable but the thing hasn't been updated in years so who knows if it's being updated. I keep debating just buying a high end Yamaha kit and some HHX Evolution cymbals to sample myself and maybe sell commercially but then I remind myself that I should be finishing my album first.

How many more pedals like AM4
VP4 might be in the pipeline
I mean you could have a full modular system that works for amp guys , as well a existing users
Things like Delay pedal , a pitch pedal or combo wah / Whammy volume And small express like box w just FAS originals and Ir loader , A box that plays captures
There is a lot of things they could do

Trying to exhibit at NAMM on a $10k budget would be a colossal waste. It takes a lot more than that to make yourself visible.

The acronym means National Association of Music Merchants. In years past, you could only get an attendee badge if you owned or worked for a music store or distributor, although it was relatively easy for non-employees to sidestep that requirement.

Point is, if you sell direct, a booth at NAMM is a poor investment. Most of your booth traffic will consist of folks who aren't potential buyers.

Basically piggy backing because all the necessary people are in the right location for an easy visit.

Piggybacking on NAMM in a hotel room makes a lot of sense for small manufacturers who sell direct.

NAMM is insanely expensive. A couple decades ago, one company paid upwards of $6M (or was it $8M?) for everything, but that was back when the vast majority of their POs were signed at the show by visiting dealers. Now everything's done online.

If Fractal made their version of Tonex One, The often requested FM0 (or I guess more likely now AM1) they wouldn't be able to make them fast enough. Love their stuff and use my FM9 all the time, but I also do enjoy traditional pedalboards and like having my own pedals before/after an amp sim. Tonex one works great for that. If I dont want amp modelling I leave it on the board and just swap the amp capture out for a pedal one.

I doubt it's the power supply stuff as that has already been spoken about and seen by many here and fractal forum and facebook pages, although it is awesome and will sale like hotcakes im sure once released!
