Why does the Clapton signature Stratocaster have 70 Db boost ?

That sucker has so much boostiness that you don't even need an amp. Just plug it straight into a 4x12 and melt faces.

That's actually kinda true! If we are talking SPL levels and not mixing electrical db, an unplugged electric guitar boosted by 70 plus db is going to be in the range of playing through a cranked 50-100 watt amp! That should give a little perspective to how ridiculous the 70 db claim really is.

This guy just posted a wall of text of this nonsense again on TOP. Must be someone on the spectrum with a hangup. Like our string-breaking guy.

Anyway when I had an EC Strat and believe it or not I did the pickups and the booster were why I got rid off it. It’s the sort of thing you would have found useful in the 70/80s but definitely not now.

Clapton circuit would be great if you only had the one guitar. Otherwise it's way different than anything else I used so I uninstalled.

The Demeter MB-2 Mid-Boost that's installed in some James Tyler models is pretty darned useful.

Title of the review for Clapton's first show with the prototype sig Fender sent him-

"Clapton Blows Heads Off Audience With One Note, Literally"

I love the boost circuit built into my Majesties & JP15. I rarely (if ever) reach for a Drive block in the Fractal.

Plus, I'm the type of player that uses the amp pretty much exclusively for the gain I want. If I want more, it's in a different scene in the preset, but still just via the amp w/ different settings.
