Is it a Mesa Black Shadow branded EV? That's a relabeled EVM12L from what I understand, which means loud and clean with excellent power handling. It will handle whatever you throw at it, power or frequency wise, without a lot of coloration.

My blue stripe combo also came with the same speaker. Honestly it’s my favorite speaker for a mark. Throw it in a sealed oversized 1x12 and it will punch like Mike Tyson. It seems to do everything well.

Bonus with the 12L is that it has absurd power handling. You can hit it with a 100w head and not sweat it.

This Mark III at like 1.5 on the master is loud but home volume legit. Turn it up to 2.5; it becomes a beast. Up to 3 and you are sterilizing the neighborhood The impact of the punch the power amp has on this is INSANE

You can always do your own take on Love Shack, and if people don't like it, who cares? It's not like you will be able to hear them complaining over the glorious tones from the amp!
