Which should I trade for?

Wasn’t the combo circuit tweaked slightly so it’s somewhere towards a 5150II/6505+?

Can’t remember 100% but i’m sure I heard JB say that on a podcast. A bit like how all the EVH models evolve slightly with each model

The combo was always "sweeter" sounding to my ears? I wouldn't kick a 6534+ out of the discussion if it were an option

Not sure on that. It was modified from the head, though.

There complaints (go figure!) about the head not having a very good Clean Channel.... or a Clean Channel
at all.... as if people had no idea who EVH was and the kind of music he played.

So that was altered to accommodate the whiners.

It's also smaller in the power section, with 60 watts and 2 power tubes instead of 4 in the head.
