Where do you guys go for refrets?

I charge a lot more. Does that include a new nut and a set up? Also remember a Warmoth neck needs a fret dress from new. Then finish, a nut and installation.

Warmoth necks are usually pretty great, and in reality you might could get away with doing nothing. It'll play, but ime they need a bit of love to be their best.

My experience too but I always dress them.

And roll the fingerboard.

My local luthier took a day job and it’s nearly impossible to get him to do work these days. Believe it or not, I sent my guitar (only the neck) to a YouTuber for my last refret.

You can’t assess a neck on its own. You need to play it. I hope he puts it on a body.

He had an extra Strat body to use. Otherwise, I would have sent the entire guitar. I saved a ton on shipping and the refret came out great.

Just finished this PRS CE with 55090 stainless.

It was done for fret size. PRS use masses of super glue so that had to be dealt with.

Ok. I emailed a guy and he actually got back to me. About 20 miles away and he said his turnaround is about a week. I’m taking my Strat there today.

Yeah me too. I still hate the headstock but I'm starting to like that burning water finish.

I don’t see the point of evo when SS is harder.

I used Jescar Evo 55095 on my Martin OM28V when I refretted it because I didn't want to change the sound too much and it has the look I want for that guitar. I hate the tiny Martin vintage frets but I love the way they sound. Now I have the best of both and it is my favorite acoustic guitar.

BTW Jescar 57110 stainless is my favorite fret wire. I have a large spool of it.
