I thought Pluribus a great premise and was an entertaining show. However, there were two big criticisms I had:

1. The plot moved far too slowly, to the point where the entire season could have taken 3-4 episodes.
2. Many (including me) have a hard time relating to such an insufferably miserable character as Carol was.

That all said, I would live an absolutely degenerate lifestyle if it happened to me

Is this the Chinese Festivus where we air our grievances about Pluribus?

There were long shots and sections of shots that were gratuitous artsy cinematography with no other point. Fuck that, by all means do your artsy film making shit, but make it part of the story, not just filler. That contributed to the entire season being a bit slow.

The characters can be unbelievably stupid in inexplicable ways. You have a handcuff on your wrist that came from a cop car you took and that you have the keys to, but it takes a day or two to realize you probably have the key to the handcuffs? And if she couldn't find it, she could have called and asked for a key which brings up the long outgoing voicemail message. Why not ask for it to be shortened or ask for a number to push to bypass it? Don't get me started on eating dog food when there are so many better alternatives with little effort.

It was just a joke but just to put myself out there, I watch a ridiculous amount of TV. I need to watch something doing cardio. The last show I deem worth watching was MobLand. Before that Peaky Blinders. Not much in between that I would recommend.
How to brag about doing a ridiculous amount cardio without saying you do a ridiculous amount of cardio.

100% agree with 1. The season felt like half a season because very few things happened in 9 episodes. I don't have a problem with slow pace shows but this one could be the slowest I've ever seen, with very little payoff.

I was also annoyed by people saying "go back to watch reels and tiktoks. This show is for adults". I don't even use social media (except for announcing stuff from my projects)! The story told during season 1 could be perfectly told in, I'd say, 5 episodes.

Back to the topic, results are interesting. More amps and Native votes are similar, new effects are more demanded, stability perception is worse worse than I thought (and I don't think Stadium is THAT unstable). And "other" is the most voted, but I think most people who voted that didn't read the OP "only if you're interested in the device" part xD

Yep. I just have too much time on my hands to try things. Generous music store return policies are also a factor. In December I dumped an ax3, bought a qc, am4 vp4 and an fm9. The qc was pre CorOs 4 and it kept crashing so I dumped it. Then 3 weeks later they upgrade the OS. Ffs. the mini is a pretty much a retry.

The battle between the am4/vp4 and the fm9 is still ongoing.
Just curious: What were you typically doing when that QC kept crashing. It honestly sounds less like a 3.x (which I and many others ran without issues for years) problem and more like a hardware problem.

Oh yes, they all have their limitations.
I don't like the SPDIF on the AM4 because the SPDIF output is before the analog loop. wtf. so if I daisy chain the AM4 to the VP4 via SPDIF and put a pedal in the loop then it never gets to the VP4.
The FM9 fw11 is basically the amp updated equivalent to the AM4 1.0.2. AM4 is solid, sounds great. The FM9 has bugs. Dropped audio, misfires on stomp buttons. frustrating. FM9 is solid on v8, v9 and v10. v11 is the issue.
The FM9 is also the only unit with my favorite block, the multiband compressor.
The QC mini has less connections but a morningstar MC8 will hopefully fill the button void.
My Tonex pedal is really the only thing that's safe from sale.

Back somewhat on topic, the Stadium loses both an input and 2 foot controller inputs to the XL. The last one is odd to me. If the regular Stadium doesn't have an integrated foot pedal then why take away the foot controller jacks. I can handle the loss of input 2. I will miss the scribble strips but $550CAD is a big difference.
That’s a good point about the expr inputs. I can only guess that losing one facilitated miniaturization. Luckily there’s alway MIDI to fall back on.

Honestly? The price. I just think it's too expensive for what it is. And I feel the same about Fractal products.

I don't see myself ever paying more for a modeler than what a Quad Cortex or a Tone Master Pro costs. And even those are very expensive IMO.

I'm with you on that for sure.

Still, my original Kemper plus foot controller purchase was justified by how much gear it replaced in my rig (which I sold). That's how I justified the $2K price tag at that time. Tube amps aren't cheap, or are pedalboards of effects.

I think where things start getting a little grey these days is that you can get a Helix Stomp XL for ~$700. It generally gets the job done. You can argue there are BETTER solutions out there, but you have to wonder, will anyone in the audience notice?

In this context, it's hard to justify >$2K purchase today IMO.... except for those of us with GAS ;).

Maybe I should elaborate on what "only if you're interested in the device" actually means.

It means you like it and you want to buy it eventually, but there's one or more things that need to be addressed before you pull the trigger.

Personally I'm a fan of "every frame a painting" type filmmaking. I do agree that Pluribus is often excruciatingly slow on purpose, so you have to watch it with the right mood.

I think the point is that Carol is stubborn as hell, and also a bit paranoid. She doesn't want help, and will go to great lengths to prove a point.

It's a show about deeply flawed people. I hope they pick up the pace for next season though.

But you know what is not slow? Helix Stadium! Let's get back to that!

Nux mg50li is 499$…that’s a good price point

Meh, I think the vast majority of folks on this forum are interested in whatever the new Line 6 modeler is, and there's a good chance most, including the most negative, will eventually own it for at least a short period.
