I had a preorder in, but canceled it at the same time that I sold my FM9, listed my TMP, and bought an AM4. I've found what works for me. I'll wait and see how much of a side quest Proxy ends up being, since I know I won't use it.

I almost got there at launch, but decided to hold off waiting for the full feature set to drop + general user feedback.

A lot of my interest has waned now waiting for the QC Mini to stock, which I think is kind of the Goldilocks form factor for the second modeler that one totally doesn’t need. :ROFLMAO:

Once you get into $2,300 range it starts moving out of the “just give it a try” territory for the curious tinkerer.

Money and lack of need. These days I think the most I need out of a modeler is something like the AM4 which I'll probably downsize to after selling my FM9. Lately I'm fine with an amp and a few pedals and that a do it all modeler actually adds unnecessary complexity. I simply don't need anything as large, complex and expensive as the Stadium, AxeFx, etc.....
I already replied, about money being an issue, but this is also an issue for me as well. I'm down to using the 2203 model for both clean and dirty, and if I go with a mono, (and trusting the house doesn't mess with my tone), IEM setup, I could really just bring my Stomp XL and exp pedal, and call it a day.

If I weren't married to polyphonic pitch shifting, it would be even more simple.

My 9 year old OG Helix is still working for me. I'd only want the XL and it is a little expensive to just to have the latest. I'll stick with the original until it stops working or there is a must have new feature (no idea what that would be).

It’s really expensive.

The sounds I go for are just - not in line with what the sound designers at Line 6 seem to like. There are plenty of HX amps I’d happily use, but reverbs, rotary, tremolo, etc., are just not my cup of tea. And not in a “they’re no accurate” way but in a “I don’t like the sounds they’ve chosen to model” kind of way. So at this point, even if everything was up to Augora Spec or whatever, I’m just not interested in spending $1500 much less $2k+ on a Line 6 product.
I found myself doing a fair amount of head scratching with the specific selection of amps modeled in Helix, as well the chosen configurations. The Marshalls and Mesa’s were gross and in some cases modded in very unusual highly opinionated ways that were baked in and non defeatable.

Things seemed a bit better at the VERY end when we started getting amps that had all channels and options, but several of those amps seemed to have unusual or overlooked behaviors. The 5153 and Bogner come to mind.

I came out of Hx with my trust and confidence in L6 at a low. To some extent, that perception has tainted my experience with Stadium in that there are certain things that seem off buried within the things that are awesome, and I fluctuate day to day on whether I regret my purchase, or am just an early adopter experiencing growing pains and a negative attitude.

I do think Stadium will be successful long term. If you’re considering getting in now, just understand that there are some rough edges, and you might have a bad experience if you’re not a patient consumer. They are going to be working on this thing for A WHILE.

Voted Other and New Fx

Other: the main reason I'm not buying a Stadium is that I don't need one at the moment, I already have an OG Helix Floor and in my current band a traditoinal tube amp + pedals rig is all I need. OG Helix is currently my backup.

New FXs: in a different band with more sophisticated needs soundwise, I won't need tons of amps (current agoura amps probably cover all my needs and tastes and I might use it in 4cm anyway) but I might need more fxs.

I'd love to join the kind of band where to use showcase but I don't have time for another band at the moment, let alone one where you automate things on stage.

Currently the login page is why I cannot use my new Stadium. 😂

I’m sure I’ll figure it out.

Edit: connected to USB and used L6 Central to update the firmware, then the WiFi and on-device login worked as expected.

Price, I don’t earn money with it. I can’t justify that price.
I paid a $1000 for a studio Classic and then I sold it about a year later.

Gotta set up a L6 account. The display should give you a QR code.
Yeah I’ve had an account for 16 years probably. My screen does not display a QR code just a white box where it should be. The 6-digit code is also blank where it is supposed to go.

I put my network firewall in emergency bypass mode for the Stadium and that didn’t help after a reboot.

my QC

hahahaha
This is basically the tl;dr version of where I'm at. I pre-ordered the non-XL a couple of months ago, but NDSP has been treating us right in the meantime. Cool effects, V2 captures... even some new hardware to a) tempt us or b) remind us that GAS is just GAS and we don't really need to "collect 'em all" LOL.

The main attraction in Stadium, for me, is Showcase. But in that interim I've been having great results with QC and an iPad running Moises on my mic stand. Since I'm running one general-purpose preset, it's hard to imagine Showcase being much more effective - and I know Showcase would demand more content-management time up front. (Plus the iPad brings other things to the table: guitar synth, web browsing for quick lyric checks, etc.) If I decide to adopt preset/snapshot automation, Showcase may pay off in the future, but I'm not feeling an immediate need.

Focus view is still somewhat attractive to me. It just seems like a fun way to learn how to drive unfamiliar amps/effects in (presumably) effective, conventional ways. Of course, this depends on how extensive and well-curated that content is. Bit of an unknown.

Ultimately, the timing was just off in a couple of different ways. Starcrossed, even. I cancelled my MF pre-order last Tuesday, and they got their first inventory something like 2 days later. :facepalm

MF pre-order LOL.

Modeling not up to par and certainly not industry leading as I would have expected from L6.

That's about it really.

love my QC, loved my LT. but i wouldnt have wanted to own either of them right away. ill let them sort everything out, update it a few times and add a bunch of stuff to it and then get a used one down the road for a good price. I dont really need to be like an early adopter or whatever they are called now, especially when there are so many other good products out there now. I got my LT with the backpack for 750 and sold just the LT for 700 several years later, and I kept the backpack which i still use a lot hahaha. seems like a better method than buying a brand new one right when it comes out and goes through the initial growing pains.

gotta say though i am kinda getting used to the size of the QC, going back to something bigger than the LT might be a tough sell.

My gas faded as the release date approached.. not to mention I want to sell my floor first so I can put that money on the Stadium... and I haven't been playing much lately. 3d printing and other hobbies have been eating my time lately

Yeah, here I was trying to make my peace with having a bigger processor (non-XL Stadium) on my desk, and NDSP goes and drops the QCM LOL.
