What makes these IRs sound so REAL?

Maybe this has already been discussed? These Tonefactor XR IRs sound a lot 'realer' than regular IRs. What're they doing that's different - anyone know? Couldn't figure out from their video, and the website has nothing.

It has been discussed...it doesn't sound more real to me as much as them cherry picking and dialing things in to make their IR's sound better, and then influencing you by saying how much they prefer their IR's.

Here's a different comparison I made using the same IR and Helix Native:

I have a few of the Tone Factor IR's and they aren't bad but to me aren't as consistent or to my preference. I like Ownhammer in general the best and York is very close depending on the amp/cab. It's not a night and day difference.

I see. I feel that their IRs are maybe a little more midrangey with more breakup and maybe that's what I'm hearing as 'more real'. Thanks for the great vid! Helpful to hear all the different IRs from York, OH etc. in context.

Bottom line for me is if you like it and it works that’s all that matters! I got the Vox with Greenbacks, Marshall 4x12 and Orange 4x12 to try. I think the Vox is good for the p and w crowd but I prefer 4x12 with greenbacks and that one didn’t do much for me. All these years later the Ownhammer GNR pack is still fantastic for me.

As you can see in @Jarick 's vid, small moves make big differences.

What I find shocking -- a company selling something claiming theirs is better than the competition?!

If you like a certain IR, I’d just look at them on an RTA to see what the differences are but that’s just me.
