What is a Jose style amp?

to me, all these modded marshalls are basically the sound of a pedal like a TS or a boss SD-1 into a gained out marshall JCM800. push the pedal as a clean boost into the 800 and it lops off low end and tightens the sound. the boost slams the front end of the amp, and you get more gain and more sustain.

basically all these mods did the same thing, some with an extra tube, and some with diodes.

I have a feeling, amps are headed to one channel killers that take pedals well.
A Friedman is a Friedman, not a Marshall.
It’s just switches with different capacitors attached, like you stated.
