I’m having a very hard time reconciling this with the alleged 1ms latency. Is the SIVA running a massively overpowered processor in comparison with e.g. FAS, etc?

It's difficult, but not impossible - it all depends on the implementation. Boss, for example, achieves such figures at the expense of some design decisions (fixed block types, less flexible signal routing).

Speaking of which, SIVA's apparently has 100% free flow signal routing, much like Fractal. Again, i'm impressed.
