I'm still playing my partscaster Tele; '93 MIJ '52 Reissue body, Fender American Elite compound radius neck with an ebony board.

I have it going into my FM9 feeding a FR-10 and a FR-12 both with the V3 Archangel preamp mods.

That guitar plays so well and with the Fractal rig giving me any tone I want I haven't felt the need to play anything else for over a month now.

I'm a happy camper.
 
I've been so happy with the Jazz tone I've been getting using my Telecaster that when I sat down to practice today I wondered how it's tone would compare to a semi-hollow so I pulled out my Gibson ES-137 Custom and tried it with the same FM9/dual Fender FR rig I've been using with the Tele.

WOW, what a difference!

The minute I started playing the Gibson I thought "Now THAT'S traditional Jazz tone!"

The Tele sounds great and I could easily gig with it but the ES-137 is the real deal for Wes Montgomery meets George Benson tones.

I put the Gibson back in its case and will probably continue to practice on the Tele but I'm going to revisit the Gibson more frequently now that I've rediscovered how inspirational it's tone can be.
