What Guitar Are You Playing At This Very Moment...

A 2013 Gibson L4-CES. Don't need no amp nor cable. This mofo's as LOUD as some acoustic guitars even when it's not plugged in.

Nice…basically a 175 with a solid top and ebony fretboard.
I was really close to buying one couple years back, at the time I considered it to close to my es175, not sure if I’d do the same observation again. (And not sure I’d go for one at current going prices)

Anyway…great piece you have there! What year?

I never played a top tier acoustic like a Martin etc. I rarely play acoustic now, but my Faith suits me. Plays well and sounds really nice. Build quality looks decent to me 👍

They always looked like really good value for money. I don't have an acoustic at all these days. I sold my Taylor along with most of the rest of my gear when we moved back to N Ireland.

I think they are good value speaking as a non expert of course. It came with a nice hard case, but I prefer a Hiscox case 😉

This one doesnt get a lot of play lately, but i got a rehearsal tonight where a solidbody is best..in that scenario this prs 513 is my prefered choice.

That's a nice one, good choice. I like the Artcore series, they play pretty well. Even the cheaper ones were decent.
I also played some that where pretty good!
I really like the GB10. Love the size, and practicallity of it (less feedback issues on louder stages). Not sure how the current MIC/MII versions are though.

If you decide to go shopping for a jazzbox, defenitly include Eastman in your search. Imo one of the best (of not “the best”) price/quality out there across priceranges.

The Eastmans do seem like a nice option. I really do love the ES175 I had a chance to play years ago. Not that I need one of those exactly, but I like the size and shape of that model a lot.

175s….classics offcourse, if I’m correct eastman also has a couple of models based on it..

I’m lucky enough to own a great one from 1950.
Vintage Gibson archtops are not a whole lot more expensive then their more recent sibblings, and if the vintage market keeps doing what it has done this last decade, may well be even more cost efficiënt then a budget guitar.(price at purchase minus resell) That’s at least how I justify owning them ;)
50s models (and maybe 60s idnk), are much lighter build then any 70s up Gibson archtop I ever played, so are acousticly louder/more reasonant.

If you like 175, also check 125s!

Decided to pull out a few of my favourite single P90 guitars ready for Saturdays new arrival.
Starting with my JN gold glory.

Even the case cannot compete,

But it’s quite a bit cheaper and ( this one at least ) is a quality instrument with no qc issues. I would personally cut the neck pocket deeper and angled like the MIJ model. It would make a huge difference to the feel.
