What Guitar Are You Playing At This Very Moment...

I get it. I also enjoy the Mod/Polish the Turd Experience. Good times! :beer

I will say that it seems the budget and cheap gear of today is FAR superior
in tone and playability (Maybe not materials) than the budget and cheap
gear that existed when I was growing up... in the..... uhmmmmm 20th Century.

This is true and then you get a few turds that come pre polished with a big ticket ( Duesenberg). These are the worst things because they are Harley Benton quality with an extra 0 on the end.

I didn't share this one here yet. I took it to band practice last week and got some comments.

It's maybe my most shreddy guitar. Fun to play. It also stays in tune really well. I took from
warm house to cold car to warm garage last week and didn't have to loosen the locking nut.
I was able to dial it in using the fine tuners.

Been an hot minute since I had a Floyd equipped guitar. I cut my teeth on them back in the
day.

It's setup and locked in at Drop D Standard. :chef

Dimarzio PAF Pro in the Neck. Super Distortion in the Bridge. It delivers. :rawk

Yep. My buddy prefers his $200 Ibanez miKro over his 90’s Ibanez Radius that I believe cost him around $900 back in the day. Play what you like.
Of course . It’s not how much it costs it’s whether it’s good or not. I have instruments that I paid almost nothing for but they are not crap.
The cheapest guitar in terms of what I paid;

£160.
This isn’t the sort of thing I am talking about.

In regards to the example I used, personally, I think his miKro is a piece of shit. His Ibanez 442R is exactly what you’d expect from that era of Japanese guitars, which I prefer.

Like they say, “different strokes” and all that.

Digging how those PU's match the color fade perfectly! Nice.
