Dude I’ve been waffling around between getting a T5z or Acoustasonic to get my acoustic game right. How do you like the T5?
The T5z has been a favorite of mine since day one (5 years now). I’ve used it on countless recordings. Very easy playing instrument. Only negative I can think of is it can be susceptible to neck dive because the body is very lightweight.

I wouldn’t call the T5z much like an acoustic. It’s more of a hybrid. The tone is a cross between acoustic and hollow body electric.

I love that tele color. :love
Thanks! FWIW it’s nothing fancy - one of the cheap GFS XGP bodies. It required a little finessing but overall it’s hard to complain for the price. It is a bit heavy though so will likely get replaced with something lightweight from MJT.

Here's to more guitars!

This one's a heavy f**ker, it has some serious thump and eats stock Gibsons for breakfast.

2010 Ibanez AR250
modded with a pair of modern DiMarzio DP104 and plastic covers
completely gutted and rewired to meet Ovation GP spec
wraparound bridge by ABR (if I recall correctly)
brass knobs
12/54, tuned to C Standard

Nice!

A quirky beast. Some days I hate that hollowbody sound and "feel", some days it's fun.
Definietely not selling, because it's a gem after all.
Kinda clunky and wacky, like it came from a garage sale, but very unique voice and a round but comfortable neck.

Wow, that's a great design IMO. Pretty interesting but defenitely working F-hole interpretation (at least I like it, sort of a crossbreed between Art Deco and Bauhaus, if that even remotely makes sense, which it likely doesn't...). Middle pickup would annoy me like mad, but otherwise that's quite a looker. We need to talk about your B string wrapping technique, though...

Ouch! Didn't see that - it had been hanging on the wall for some months, not sure what happened here :bag

So, thank you for the heads-up, ich werd mich sofort darum kümmern!

And yeah, there's something about the particular style that just looks sweet...
The middle pickup is awkward but comes in handy when you want to stay hum-free.
