What Do You Think About "Shredding"?

Obviously you're just fooling yourself as an angry young man.

I liked 'em better before that Ted Nugent guy joined the band.

The only things I can shred are cheese salad and veg.
My fingers & brain have never worked together in sync.
Probably why I was a drummer percussionist for 40 years of my life.🤣

I still think material like this was a great context for Yngwie---even if he
has wanted to murder every singer he has ever worked with.

Said older brother should be bitch slapped. Kilroy Was Here - of all Styx albums? The self-indulgent and self-masturbatory Dennis DeYoung "Magnum Opus" concept album that pissed off the rest of the band? Reaaaaaalllly? :p

Observe:

He passed away a few years ago (colon cancer). But he was one of those guys that listened to all kinds of stuff, pretty much anything popular in the early eighties was his jam. I can’t fault him, really, because he turned me on to a lot of stuff-and not just music.

Absolutely. Buying a new album back then was an event. The cover art, the liner notes, it was immersive. And no skipping tracks- you dropped the needle and settled in for the next 22 minutes.
It certainly was. I used to sit with my new Elton John album and read, sing, and memorize every word.

I know many of us are around the same age, and started listening to music when we were very young..., anyone else here used to think the bands were actually playing the songs at the radio station? :rofl
