What Are You Working On Right Now?

Thats awesome Tom, and of course the most important part is that your enjoying your time playing
As for me was a weekend with hardly no woodshedding. 10 Hour Work day Saturday and 12 Hour Chores Day Sunday

I live alone, have to do everything by myself, and also take care of my Mom
and her Residence, and even I don't need to work no stinking 12 hour Chore Day.

WTF?:pitchforks

Do I need to come over and have a chat with the Mrs.?? :hmm

Yes the Wife's list is extensive "We" need to do this and "we" need to do that yet ....

Open Pool Clean pool run and get supplies needed , empty and clean the yard shed, organize it to my OCD liking, cut the grass, oh and wash and detail the car in and out.

Well i did some breaks in between

:knit

Without a spreadsheet, this post is worthless!

I've been neglecting my chores... :facepalm

I wish I could. :(

I'll be on roofs and chainsawing until further notice. Oh, and doing
all my normal stuff. :facepalm

I feel blessed when I can get my damn feet on the actual ground. What a relief. :banana

Given all of this Rain is like best friend, right now. :beer

Be careful on those roofs! Structural damage could have occurred when the trees fell on them and just because they look solid and have not yet collapsed does not mean they are solid and will not collapse!!

Totally! I appreciate the heads up, but I am way ahead of you on this, MW! :cheers

Not to be cocky, but I am super mindful of EVERY footstep and handhold. Have to be.
No fucking around with this level of insanity! If you are not careful you end up hurt. Bad!

Also, no hurrying. NOPE! There is no sense of urgency that is worth getting injured for. :hmm

All that being said, I did fall once already and slide halfway down a roof, before stopping
via my ass dragging. Thank you ass. You saved me.

Metal roofs are the worst. You can't be on them if they are even a little damp. And if
there is even one spot of needles you will start skiing downhill like you are in the Olympics! ⛷️

I probably put in an honest 20 hours of real playing-time this past weekend, and my fingers/callouses/hand is completely fine. Meaning, no discomfort, and my callouses haven't grown. Which to me means I've developed a nice light touch.

Eliminating tension is a big focus for me atm, and I think I'm making some good progress in that direction.
Does Monday Tom hate Weekend Tom??

:beer
Fuck man, I got off a couple hours early today, so my plan was to come home and catch up some of those neglected chores, and work on a material list for our next project.

Instead, I ate, laid back in the recliner, and fell right tf asleep. I just now woke up. Great, and it's quarter-after-11! Guess I'll do that paperwork for a few hours...

I bet Wednesday Tom is getting worried now. :hmm :rofl

The hardest (and slowest for me atm) part is the simplest/coolest thing! It's a Dsus to a D arpeggio. Lays right over the chords. :chef

So, back on Innocence Faded, but back to string skipping this little part, because it sounds better, and well, it's the right way to play it. And every other arpeggio in this solo is played that way, may as well practice the string changes all alike.

But..., because of that 19th fret pinky stretch, that I'm starting to get, I've gotten used to doing it, and now when I play other solos, I've been over-reaching and grabbing the wrong note!! On stuff I've been playing for years!! Dammit

As someone who listens to a lot of isolated tracks I often notice how much fizz and sizzle guitars have
Something a lot comment on as to being digital fizz and aggressive high frequency swarm of bees
But once in the mix it all works

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

That had me thinking something wasn't right when I first got my AFIII.

But it's there!

Welp, I'm getting faster at these string-skipping arpeggios. Some of what's involved, I've already been practicing a lot. Like, hitting 1 bottom note, or 1 top note, then turning right around and going back the other way, which involves a quick change of the pick slant. Kinda like a super-fast, figure-8. With a little bit of picking-hand rotation.

That's getting to be 2nd nature. I can play several 3 n.p.s. 16th note riffs at around 150 bpm, sometimes up to 160 if I'm really warmed up and loose, so I'm pretty sure I'll get this @ 128.

It's all the other crazy shit in this solo, like those 16th note, 7-fret slides, that gonna take some serious work!! Even the sextuplet, dum, da-da-da, dum, arpeggios aren't terrible, since there's a pause in between each one.

I WANT this solo!!
