I think the new Katatonia is boring AF. Don‘t get me wrong, I like the band, but in the last 15 years they just repeated themselves. I don‘t know how many times Renkse already used the exact same vocal line of the song above.

I think that's a fair take. The songs in recent albums do sort of feel like one long continuous song sometimes. There will usually be a track or two that stands out to me though (usually because of the riffs).

Someone on another forum just reminded me of this tune. I recalled when it was in heavy rotation on the radio in the 1970s. Great funk, jazz, rock crossover jam.

It‘s not the whole album, just the first single. Nevertheless, I love that song. Damn, that was Gothic Metal Friday, with new songs from Paradise Lost and Amorphis, and the new album from Katatonia.

Skyforger is great! The new song kinda reminds me of „Sky is mine“ from that album.
