Listening to Turnstile's "GLOW ON". Songs have been stuck in my head on and off. Was really cool seeing them earlier this year.

Man, the new Mammoth album fucking slaps! I’ve had this one stuck in my head only after one listen:

Don’t expect everyone to dig this one, but this is easily my favorite song from them. The vocal delivery in this song is absolutely fucking ridiculous. I don’t know how this dude can actually pull singing like this off regularly, but I’ve seen videos of him nailing the middle section in this and the technical shit going on behind it is insane. Dude is jumping through different voices/placements while being able to add the fry on at any given point, doesn’t matter if he’s in chest or head voice and it really sounds like he’s doing 99% of this from the chest, which is even fucking crazier to get up in those pitches at that volume/placement.



Then that ending….it’s just a barrage of brutal. This is as ‘emo’ as I can get before my taint inverts.

Absolutely. I liked this All Star Jam Version of Whitesnake's Stormbringer he did with Joel and Crew. Good example of his range, along with the Jane vid I think someone posted before. There are quite a few vids out there over COVID period.

Sweet! I love that version of Deep Purple with Coverdale and Glenn Hughes. Kind of not even the same band it was earlier.

This Cal Jam vid is pretty cool. Blackmore damn near lights himself on fire towards the end of their set.

I thought so too, but I'm not sure. What with Note Following parameters (or however it's done) and the Bloomin' Reverbs, maybe not...?
