I've never seen the video to this one. There's no way it was played on MTV because it's entirely too amazing for daytime TV circa 1983 -- we weren't ready for Budweiser-Man. The weird clash of southern rock and trappings-of-the-80s reminds me of this bit that I stumbled into a couple of weeks ago. Who knew that the one thing Live at Filmore was missing was a key-tar solo:

It is a pleasure to listen to this Guy, both talking and playing.

Note: do not quick-listen though your laptop. It contains some serious low-C bass. Pump-up the volume at your best monitors or headphones.

 
For me as you all Know its always been EVH and Fair Warning especially, at the time No one did what he did no one sounded like he did either
His tone was simply amazing it wasn't distorted or really high gain rather it was just so powerful and Heavy
