I’m practicing with an upright bassist who wants to do this tune. Originally a Swedish folk melody, it was jazzed up by Miles Davis. Based on that, this version is from a Paul Chambers record, no horn, but with Kenny Burrell on guitar. I need to listen to it enough to internalize the form and breaks.

One of my favourite guitar sounds is Ron Wood on his Zemaitis, especially on the 3 and 4th Faces albums, with their great production from Glyn Johns. Such a warm, welcoming noise.
