What are we watching now?

Haven’t watched the latest but the first 2 episodes are promising. HBO rarely misses on original content.

The first and last ten minutes of that first episode:

Great TV with a big caveat.

There are a lot of things in the settings to turn off on that TV and not agree to in the user agreement areas. Otherwise its screen capturing everything you do every few milliseconds and uploading to LG's servers all the time.

Search youtube and the internet in general, there are good recommendations and instructions. Almost all smart TV's are doing some variation of this, but at least LG allows disabling of it (for now) - minus doing blocking at the network layer to their servers, or domain.

Just finished “All Her Fault”. Holy shit. Excellent.
Yeah we couldn’t stop watching that one.

We’re also enjoying Knife Edge about restaurants around the world trying to earn Michelin stars (on Apple TV). Some amazing chefs out there!

I've been rocking a 48" LG CX OLED TV for like 5 years now. Before that I also owned a 65" C9 but when we moved it didn't fit well anywhere so I sold it.

At this point the CX has some dead pixels on the edges (apparently a particular defect of this model range and not a thing on newer ones) but otherwise is still working like a champ. I even used it as a desktop display for 2 years so it's been driven real hard.

I’ve wanted a good OLED for the better part of a decade but there were always other priorities. I’ve spent the last day or two watching 20 minute segments of some of the Dolby Vision and HDR stuff on Netflix and I’m floored by how amazing these panels are.

We watched the new Frankenstein last night and the contrast was :chef .
