It brought to mind that Netflix drama "The Sound of Metal", whose main character is described as a "heavy-metal drummer", but whose band was clearly some kind of punk/ art rock/ performative experiment. That is also another thing. I should have a soft spot for it for this very same reason but I feel let down with it so it irked me even more because of that fact! Maybe I should rewatch it?
