Welp I’m down to three delay pedals! *modelers excluded*

From too damn many!

I’m down to a Volante, Neunabor Echo 2 and an EVH SDE3000. They are each outstanding in their own way. I wonder what I am missing from this small collection.

Nobody say El Capistan either. Seriously.

I'm a total delay fanatic (fuzz too), starting with a DM-2 in '83...

Been through more than I can remember, here's what I kept, for in-front of the preamp tone stack:

2000's DMM RI w/mn3005
Diamond Memory Lane
Moog Minifooger MF Delay
DOD Rubberneck
JRAD Alien Echo
Retroman KopyKat + BBE MindBender in FX loop
Eventide Eclipse > Amp FX loops
Eventide H8000 > Post Production

Note: I don't own even one Reverb stomper, never cared for it into a preamp tone stack 🤢

EHX pico series are quite impressive imo, the Canyon mini seems like a very nice delay for those that doesn’t like delay… goes from analog sound to digital, and has a few cool tricks.

nothing really. You got it all man :rofl

I’ve always used whatever delays where in “multi efx” units…going back to zoom 9001 and digitech 2101 ;)
My “first ever” dedicated was the Halo, So idnk how it compares to what you got, but i really like that delay.

Honestly, the Andy T preset with an exp pedal connected is all I use…and (try to) replicate in my “all in one units”.
Atm it’s not in Rig, but I like it so much I keep it around for recording, and last but not least, as a reference to a delay that works great for me, so I can copy that to other gear. I came pretty close with Kemper, with the QC a couple inches behind.

If you have a dual delay with crossfeedback, modulation, and some “tape parameters” you probably have the tech to come very close to it.

I really love delay. Probably my most favourite effect.

Currently I own:
Fractal VP4
Boss DM-101
Boss DD-3
Boss DD-8
Boss DD-500
Xvive Echoman
Meris LVX
TC Plethora X3

I've owned these in the past - sometimes more than once:
Boss DM2w
Boss DD-5
Boss DD-7
Line6 DL-4
Malekko E300
Malekko E600
MXR Carbon Copy Deluxe
Catalinbread Belle Epoch Deluxe
EHX Memory Man 1100TT
Digitech Hardwire DL-8
Digitech Timebender
TC Flashback X4
TC Triple Delay
TC Flashback X4II
Strymon Timeline
Strymon Brigadier
Source Audio Nemesis
Source Audio Collider

There's probably more I'm forgetting. Most of those I'd happily own again. They all have their quirks and charms, and can sound quite different from one unit to another. I've never owned a proper old big box Memory Man. I wish I'd gotten that ticked off before the prices became a bit nutty!

I've never been a huge delay guy, usually I've been happy with spring reverb or some other reverb for live use. When the DL4 came out I did use that religiously on stage for years. I traded it stupidly years back, and then picked up a TC alter ego (mustard yellow, pgs edition) and a Moog MF delay, so those have been more than enough to cover my needs. More recently picked up the VP4 so now I'm really covered with delays and reverbs. I'm interested in the Halo too but can't justify getting one based on what I have now.

Today I decided to grab the Source Audio Nemesis ADT - coz I've been very curious!!

I swear to god you're just buying stuff from my youtube search history to rub it in. :rofl

I'm actually really interested to hear what you think vs the dd500, specifically the tape, analogue and reverse delays.

I don't really like too many options, I basically want something that sounds great out of the box with minimal tweaking. I don't need things like a full eq on the repeats, just the facility to make it brighter or darker. I'm not big into menu diving.

So far the Belle Epoch deluxe, dd500 and nemesis are my top choices. I was looking at the Dd200 but think it has too many shortcomings now and the collider but think I want a dedicated reverb instead.

Will it help if I tell you it is sick, and sonically sounds a lot better than the original Nemesis???

:rofl
