Welp I’m down to three delay pedals! *modelers excluded*

Oh my gosh… The Halo!
You guys are right likely about that one. Dang it.

I just knew something would come up! 🤣
Sorry ;)
There is an affordable version available I think.

And…I think you also own modelers…many have tried to emulate one on just about ever modeler and posted YT video’s on it.
I vaguely remember fractal even has a preset called Halo? Kemper has a vid on it on their official if I’m correct.

There's no spillover when you change presets, but there is spillover when you bypass. If that matters to you.

I was going to say probably not but I've only just realised you can only run one delay at a time. Because the collider can run a delay and reverb I had assumed the nemesis and the ventris can run two delays or reverbs at once. I like to layer delays when I use my Helix. It's one of the things putting me off the belle epoch. Having spill-over when you bypass is good though.

My faves are the Keeley Halo, El Capistan, and Pigtronix Echolution 3.
I have the Echolution 3 on the chopping block due to a volume drop when in the chain… on or off.

Do you have this issue? Did you resolve it?

If I can figure that out… I’ll def keep it as I love the sounds and it’s tiny for what it does.

I haven't really noticed it, but I've only used it in my new TK Imperial preamp + Badlander combo rig.

I'm adding MIDI control to that rig via the Luminite Gravitron M2 this weekend, so I'll have a more informed response for you in a couple of days.

It certainly packs a lot of great sounds into a small, well built package. Using MIDI to control it opens up even more features like the bitcrusher mode. :chef

Yeah this is why I'm thinking of putting the DD500 and Nemesis on the board. But tbh, I've been moving away from stacking delays lately. So maybe not.

I forgot to include my pair of Eventide H9s. :chef

I don't do it all the time but it is something I got used to with my Helix and am missing with my deep blue delay and dm2. I can do it but it's more of a pain to setup in the analogue world.

I had the collider once and if I remember correctly it could run two delays or two reverbs or just delay and reverb in any order.

Yeah the collider would do everything I really want but I'd like access to some of the more oddball delay engines. I'm also pretty sure I'm going to grab a UA Golden for my reverb. I'm either going to grab a nemesis adt, dd500 or if I decide that I want simple like the golden then I'll grab a belle epoch deluxe.

If you do check and out and notice it please let me know. Keep everything the same and then remove it… I notice a6-9db drop or more.

Doesn’t seem to affect tone though! I was thinking it’s an instrument versus line setting. Maybe it’s available in midi.

Are you running it in front of your amp or in the fx loop?

I’ve tried a factory reset and all boot options. I even tried using an Echolution 2 editor but it didn’t work. I found no editor or firmware.

I just sent a message to Pigtronix support.

Weird… hope they respond. A factory reset should reset every possible setting and hidden settings.

Today I decided to grab the Source Audio Nemesis ADT - coz I've been very curious!!

Have you seen this yet @Orvillain? They've updated the neuro app allowing you to preview any preset in any one series pedal with a bunch of prerecorded bass and guitar tracks. You can even edit the presets and hear the results in real time. It looks pretty cool.

Edit-- looks like there's Synth clips as well as guitar tracks. I wonder if they're working on some plugins?

Pigtronix did reply to my inquiry. They asked a few of the expected questions and are researching. I’ll post how it goes in case this issue is present for others.

I must admit that the more I look at it, the more tempting the Halo looks. Interestingly enough the Echolution 3 has a halo mode available via midi. Along with a load of other functionality. This unit could have really benefited from an editor that accessed everything. It’s a lot of wasted potential without midi.
