Well that's the best on this clusterf**k

Man, this guy's channel might be my least favorite of them all, but this was my favorite video out of ALL of them so far.

Fuck the miming bullshit, fuck the lack of imperfection. If this dude starts calling fuckers out I'll make 5 youtube accounts to like every vid 5x over from now on.

Edit- I laughed at the Hendrix tune thing, I'm pretty sure I've actually posted that performance before making fun of it. :rofl

Really good video with good points, although took the low road in a few spots I wouldn't have.

I think this Giaco or whatever issue is the logical outcome of a social media society and frankly I'm surprised we haven't seen a lot more. I guess there's been a lot of fake Instragram guitarist videos lately, but when there's a lot of money and popularity at stake of course people will B.S. it.

Think of the natural progression of music from where it was over 100 years ago to today. It started out with live music only before records, then slowly morphed into recorded music that was sold and played on the radio, then to music videos that were on TV, and now to social media. 100 years ago you had to be a great musician and performer to make it through a 2-3 hour gig. Now you have to be good looking and have a good editor.

I'd say at some point we'd see a pendulum swing and live music become more important, and to some degree there's been a shift to say vinyl and small indie bands. But most people still consume via streaming and social media, which will open the door to bullshittery.

Maybe that's why the Bukovac videos are endearing, it's just a guy with a guitar and elite talent playing warts and all but mostly fantastic stuff. It's like watching Anthony Edwards soaring through the air and dunking like maybe a handful of people on the planet can do, it's amazing to watch.

But overall I'm just really burned out on guitar social media, it's gotten boring and repetitive and uninspiring. And mostly just exists to sell shit nowadays.

I've definitely been watching FAR more long-discussion on guitar/music than anything gear related. Bukovac's channel is great for that, I just let that channel keep on playing while I'm in the studio.

I know he had a look, but if he knew the guy well enough to reach out in advance and invite him to play he had to know what his playing is like.
I think Dremel thought he might sustain a note or two, somewhere in there.. and not go full retard onstage.

:ROFLMAO:
