I have the 90's bb535. It sounds more resonant and synthier than the 535Q; which is why I switched to it full time on my board. I'd have to do some tests to really define it, but to my ears that's the difference.

I'm never getting rid of my Bud Wah but I also had a bog standard gcb95 a while ago and was surprised at how good it was. Much better than I remember them being.
