Yeah it's good, and has plenty of good titles. That said, games tend to be a bit expensive. Nintendo's first party titles are almost all really good tho, obviously many of them Mario/Zelda games so it depends on how you like those.
Steam Deck is also worth considering because it would give you access to an absurdly massive library of PC games, and games can be cheap to buy. It's more techy though as not everything will just work on the Steam Deck.
I don't play any multiplayer games myself. My primary platform for gaming is the PC, but I'd probably recommend the PS5 for a "don't need to think about it, just use it with a TV" setup.
