Uni-Vibe

MXR Uni-Vibe arrived too, I ordered it before the Deja but it arrived later.

It is better than I expected, I could almost replicate the Deja with careful settings.
The MXR has a huge speed range compared to the Deja, the usable range is between 10:00 to 12:00 which is equal to Dejas' 9:00 to 5:00 or entire speed range.
The wobble symmetry and Depth/Intensity is very similar, probably because they both aim for the actual vintage sound instead of what people think/believe is the vintage sound.

It's a nice and authentic sounding vibe and totally does not deserve the bad reputation for not having a real bulb.
I'll post comparison sound clips with settings images later.

In the same week I got a DryBell Vibe (V3?) and a Dirty B.Hinds Vibe Change. The DryBell smoked it at the time, but I’m curious to stick them both in front of the Plexi to see how they hold up. I suspect the DryBell will still win, but since I can’t seem to get rid of that Vibe Change, I might as well hear how it works with other amps.

Almost bought a Rotovibe the other day but the seller didn’t mean to list it for $45. For some reason I have a memory of having a Rotovibe in high school but I know I never bought one and have no clue where it ended up. But hey, they work for Cantrell and Wylde.

I need more experience with some corksniffer vibes. The DryBell doesn’t ‘grab’ the tone that much, more kind of sits on top of it and my idea of a vibe is a bit more syrupy, if that makes sense. Like instead of sitting on top of the notes it turns them into wavy taffy.

A couple times the Fractal vibe has surprised me with hoe well it’s worked.
