Two Notes Reload II, with "Celestion-Approved Load"

Yeah specs looks killer, and stereo!
I had the original Reload, while it was a game changer™ for me to be able to record an amp silently, the built in power amps was pretty weak, and when I later got the Suhr Load I also noticed the load itself didn't sound as good as the Suhr.
Hopefully they fixed that.

I think it will be comparable to the Captors, etc. It's nice and generic sounding and works with all the DynIRs.
Two Notes takes a beating over the accuracy of their reactive load compared to other competing products. It would be a catastrophic oversight for them to have not addressed that in a series II product.

I’m gonna politely disagree here. Two Notes takes a beating over the accuracy of their reactive load compared to other competing products. It would be a catastrophic oversight for them to have not addressed that in a series II product.
Yeah, “comparable to the Captors” is not a selling point to me. If there’s a name for “the opposite of a selling point,” it’s that.

The challenge in this case with a proper speaker impedance curve is that some of the DynIRs are not going to sound right. I don't think they'll risk that. Second option, I suppose, is a modest approximation of a speaker impedance curve to get some dynamics going in the low end. We'll see when someone with the proper equipment gets one and measures it :) I expect there to be a thread by @James Freeman on modifying one eventually

From TOP, I went there so you don’t have to.

What about the cabinet used? The impedance curve is more than just the speaker….

Hopefully they’re able to give a more specific answer.

Thanks for getting back to me and another great question! No, this is a replication of the speaker impedance. Let me know if you need anything else.

Hmm. You'll know more than me on this, but it sounds weird that it's just the speaker.

Thanks for chasing down this info. I can’t say I love that answer. Averaging the impedance curve likely just produces a mountain of “this isn’t accurate to X speaker” which feels like the opposite direction they should be heading if they want to stay in the game at this point?

I’m sure there are reasons this isn’t happening already, but we really need is something with variable control of that curve. Even being able to switch between Greenback and V30 would be a huge step forward.

I guess we will see if they've managed to pull it off.

Just need to find a good sounding cab that is similar to what the majority of people who’d benefit from using a load box would use (i.e big loud fuckers) and then make it respond like that. Doesn’t need to imitate an imaginary Celestion approved conceptual speaker suspended in a vacuum.
