I use the chit out of this.

Reminds me if one of my favorites from Origin Effects, DCX Boost, based on the UA 610 preamp. :chef

The Cali76 Stacked compressor and RevivalDRIVE compact are equally mojotastic.

im curious about this one, as its always avaliable on my used market for cheaps.
The looks alone would go hand in hand with my T2 Reverb.

It's absolutely not special or revolutionary or outrageous. I think I paid £30 for it new a good few years ago now. But. It will cover overdrive-ish to distortion, isn't overly sniffy about what it's plugged into, and does basic job to a good enough standard that you can rely on it. It's also happy to be goosed by other pedals, or to goose an already driven sound.

Counter-intuitively I'm currently using it to get a relatively mild ovedrive/distortion into the clean channel of an amp, or to add a bit more filth and thickness to an already filthy sound (dirty channel/RAT).

That's the closest Google hit I could get on Deuxplex, yeah. But JT's "trumpet" comment threw me off the the trail. I thought maybe there was some kind of guitar synth/ slow gear effect going on. No? Just oodles of gain?

Just a 2 channel Plexi Preamp type pedal...no synth noises (I think the Trumpet comment was like an epiphany moment, maybe)...and not oodles of gain either. Just a great sounding "more" pedal. I boost it with a Timmy and it's fantastic into a hairy clean amp.

Not my demo...

What a color! :O

(Also: SD-1 is a classic.)

The toggle switch in the boost part of the colorful pedal is more useful than it seems. One of the demos had the knob turned almost off and there seemed to be significant change in the sound before and after the boost was activated.
