Sadly Red Rocks is now full of music I don't care to see. Still kicking myself for not going to Gojira and Devin Townsend in like 17? Have lived 40 of my 52 years in CO and I can't go when someone good is going. When I look now I feel like it's going to be hairy armpit women and men in fedoras. I think it's too small for the bigger shows.

On the bright side I’m also very into the hairy armpit women shows

Sadly in recent years even the number of jam band shows they book are on a bit of a downward trend (still plenty though haha)

I had a jam with one of my best mates today. He just bought a Rockerverb MKII 100-watter and an Orange 4x12 cab for cheaaaappsss.... so I was curious how my MKIII sounded next to the MKII. So I thought.... take it... give it a quick A/B, then revert over to the Mark V.

Anyway, so I didn't use the Mark V at all.

Orange was siiiiiicccckkkk. Boosted it with the Klon model on the VP4. It sounded glorious. Absolutely fucking tampin' Welshington glorious!!

You need to use Mesa boogie cabinets especially to unlock the potential of Mesa amplifiers otherwise everthing could be sounding better to you

Played the Mk.1 perhaps a little too organic sounding for me if I had to split hairs but it was a very impressive amp in the high gain dept. And THE best clean channel on any high gain amp.

It's just different.

If you're like me, you play something for a while, be it a pedal, amp, anything that has a great tone, then you play something else that also sounds fabulous, and so it goes. I think, wow, that sounds better! Nah, it's just something different for your ears.

Play that for a while, then switch back, and I bet the same thing happens.

Just various flavors of awesomeness.

Nice amp, glad you like it. Never owned an Orange amp, though I do have an old PPC212CB cab that I'll never part with.
