A week and a half ago I went to the Reb Beach guitar clinic sponsored by Suhr (from Winger) at the Guitar Sanctuary - It was pretty cool- more of like a one man show with a some stories.

I also ended up winning a Suhr Riot pedal, in the free raffle for the event:

The Guitar Sanctuary, the ToneShop (in Addison, TX) and others host a few of these free events a year usually sponsored by manufacturers like PRS, Suhr and Keely.

When the Keely Halo was released, Andy Timmons and Keely had a showcase event for it, as well as the Super AT Mod Overdrive later on.

This year we also had Andy woods

James Ivanyi, David Grissom at the ToneShop this year, at the Sanctuary last year.

There's an upcoming one by PRS and Mark Lettieri (again at the Sanctuary) which I'm looking forward to.

He was up here in the midwest I think(?) on the 20th? I didn't go because we were playing. And because Winger :bag:roflI bet it was cool! The Guitar Sanctuary website is a hard one to look at. What with all the PRS drooling it inspires!

Now imagine stepping into the store - there's a dedicated amp room, with a bunch of Mesas (and others).

I made the trip up to Guitar Sanctuary last time I was in Dallas - definitely a unique place. The surrounds gave off that "gated community without the gates" vibe but the inside of the store is pretty unreal.

It would be perfect for running clinics and workshops. I bet Reb was a hoot!

Hah, yes that's a good description of the surroundings.

Shows are good too! Andy Timmons always puts a good show here and the Aristocrats have been here a few times.
The sound quality is just :chef

I bet Reb was a hoot!
He sure was - tons of great stories.

Mn, I wish clinics were a thing like they were in the 90's. Some of those clinic dudes had a career in just touring music stores demoing gear and instead of all the speculation that watching videos can give, people were right there in the room to hear the gear and ask questions to the people who knew how to utilize it.

Saw this dude way back in the day, Coop DeVille, it was the first time I ever heard a piezo system, he was there for Godin and Digitech, IIRR, it was the first time I saw a dude who could play like a rockstar but was just a regular, approachable dude. I was probably 12 back then and had no clue you could be a regular dude and play like that.

Mark was playing through a couple of HDRX-20 PRS amps with 1x12 Archon cabinets, mic'ed up, setup clean, EQ controls at noon.
Stereo delay and other pedals.

There's a few still here thankfully (would have loved to see Dimebag back in the day).
