In case someone doesn't have UA's Polymax synth (one of the choices in the Holidy Freebie offers) already, I can highly recommend it. Pretty limited in features, but easy to deal with because of that, even if you don't know much about synths. And pretty good sounding.

owned the DSP version already so its a welcome port, and stoked for everyone who can get it for free now. for all the questionable moves UA seem to make these days, they have been unbelievably generous with repeatedly giving away software (or adapting paid products into free versions).

Really strange because that name and logo seems really familiar to me for some reason, but I can't quite pinpoint where I've seen it before.
I've searched and there's not a lot of info anywhere, but it says on their website they are based in Atlanta, GA.

Anyway... a Japanese blog site came up and it clarified that it is a free tone pack for Tonex, not a free vst plugin.

The Goat DS-2 Turbo Distortion Pack for Tonex by ScapeGoatAudio is a tone model pack of captures of a real Boss DS-2 Turbo Distortion. This pack contains over 50 captures of the two modes found on the original pedal and has been dialed in to capture the sound of the pedal in different stages (multiple captures of the distortion stages at a fixed tone setting). This pack also includes a few presets created to sound like other famous applications of this pedal.

I did make a few changes to the site based on comments posted here;

• Updated the description of the Goat DS-2 to make it crystal clear that yes, this is a Tonex Tone Model
• Product page now showcases how many tone models are included with the Goat DS-2
• A/B comparison of the real pedal vs. the tone model

Lastly, I just want to say thanks to the 200+ rockstars who have downloaded our fist product. Although it is a free product, I never expected more than maybe 20 people to download this, and seeing how much interest it has gained in just a week is very inspiring. More to come...
